Still getting ready

Well, the clothes are all on the spare bed ready for packing...not all of them I hope! Hotel at Manchester airport is booked for the night before our flight out to Singapore on St Valentine's day(aah everybody). Glad the bad weather hitting us has come this week and hopefully next week it will clear and we won't have any worries about travel difficulties or flight delays/cancellations etc.)

Marg and I had to abandon our car on Monday night because of the road conditions and walk home, through the snow and ice and over and through Graves Park. I felt like Scott of the Antarctic and Margaret gave a good Captain Oakes impression asking me to leave her to sleep under the tree by the highland cows ("leave me here..I can't go on...!!"). I think she thought we were on Oaks Park, which is also near us) but there again "Graves" Park could have been just as ironic.BUT we made it. Rescued my car the next day and parked it in a snow drift at home!
