Singapore First Stop

Had a good meal at the Radisson at Manchester Airport and next morning strolled leisurely to our check in. The flight was really comfortable and the Singapore hostesses gorgeous. The food and wine kept coming along with a couple of films too. We both managed to get a few hours sleep as the seats made into comfortable beds (I do like like to get horizontal!).

We were picked up as planned at Singapore airport which has an amazing sculpture in the immigration hallway (pic.later) and taken to our hotel. Although it was by then about 7a.m we were able to check into our bedroom.

Yesterday was really hot and humid (25 degrees at 7a.m and climbing fast). The sky is a little grey which is fallout from Victoria's bush fires. Spent a great evening in Chinatown, Marg was in her element as we traipsed through the markets. The food stalls were great and we enjoyed a platter of satay...the compulsory force feeding from the flight was beginning to wear off!

Today (Monday) looks like another hot day, we'll take a late breakfast as it's 11.00 am as I write, we've slept well so hopefully we might be over the jet lag. Everything's booked for tomorrow morning (Tues), the pick up arrangements kicked in smoothly (so far anyway) for our transfer at 715 am to the airport.

Next stop Sydney, tomorrow (Tues) night at 815 pm.

  1. Hi you two,

Pleased you liked Singapore airlines, they are our favourite - are you going to have a cocktail at Raffles? We are in Sydney now at the apartment hotel - see you tomorrow night.
    Love
