First full day in Sydney

K&M again on Liz's pc....

Strolled down to Darling Harbour today and took in a visit to the aquarium. After the next string of pics (for Jack and Emily) of the fish, mammals and reptiles Frank persuaded us to take a small boat out round the harbour...he didn't tell us that they'd had problems with sharks coming up close..!
Big bro' and me followed by shots of Darling harbour

I told Marg to keep out of the water..

the dugong, thought by fishermen to once be a mermaid but in fact its closest relative is the elephant!
the duck billed platypuss
the long necked turtle
the large loggerhead turtle
the murray cod
Nemo
Can you tell what it is yet..?

Nice D&G handbag eh Clare?
Grey nurse shark
and some so and so let it out!

Well we survived the attack OK and tonight we're all eating (and drinking) in and relaxing before doing a tour tomorrow.

  1. Hi Kev & Marg

Great to see your photos. Like the one of the dugong - reminds me of someone, but can't think who!!

By the way, the difference between a crocodile and an alligator is that you should never smile at a crocodile and an alligator is someone that accuses you of things.. Take care Trev

  2. Another interesting (?) titbit of information from today's Metro is that Eduardo Villar Raposso is a proud man today after winning a tense play-off final in the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" national championship in Mexico. He will now appear in the World Championship final in Toronto later in the year. He is quoted as saying: "the magic of the game is that no matter what your age, sex, or even if you only have one hand, everyone competes equally" Book your seats for the finals now. Trev
