On the road again....

Last Friday the 6th March we loaded up Frank's truck (Nissan Patrol) and head south to Canberra...with a few (expensive) stops en route! First stop was Bungendore where I thought we'd just stopped for a coffee...wrong! Anyway we also bumped into Ross and Nalda who joined us at the coffee shop.

Today's Monday 9th March -happy birthday to Bro' Mark! As we're having some internet coverage problems check out Liz's blog for some latest news and pictures (Link above). I'll get back to mine when we're in Sydney on Weds.

So, as we near our final stay in Oz let me give you a quick canter over our plans. We travel to Sydney, Bondi area -Watson's Bay this Weds, where we stay for 2 nights; meeting up with some more of Liz's relos and take in some more relaxing site seeing. On Friday the 13th we fly out to NZ. Marg and I will be in Auckland for 3 nights before heading off with Frank and Liz to Lake Taupo for 2 nights, followed by 2 nights in Rotorua, and ending with 3 nights in Hot Water Beach on the Coromandel peninsula. We leave NZ for the UK, via Singapore on 23rd March returning to Manchster eary hours 24th March (UK time).

So hopefully, more from Kev's corner later...!!

Oscar James Hough

Here is the picture I tried to send to your phone. Andy, Clare, Lilly and Oscar are all doing great.

Don't know what he weighed, don't know when he was born but I do know that they are all fine! (forgive me on not supplying the detail..... I am male)

Sal has just informed me that he weighed 7lb 14 oz and was born on Tuesday 24th February 2009 at 0519 hours

On Thursday Frank and I felt like replenishing the coffers from the red alert wallet attacks we'd (but mainly me) been suffering. Mogo, now a village, grew to a population of 15ooo with 38 pubs from 1825, during the gold rush.

Just cruisin'

On Tues 2nd March we took a gentle cruise up the river Clyde on the "Merinda" stopping off at Nelligen for a quick lunch before the hooter recalled us to the boat for the return trip. It was interesting to see the numerous oyster leases and houseboats. Later in the day we called on Nalda (a cousin of Liz) and Ross for a drink and they recanted their recent trip to the UK when they stayed at Eyam for a while and enjoyed the Peak district. Then we had a walk home...their gardens back onto each other!
